GDPR requirements study room

Visitors to the study room of the RKD are prohibited from making any communication to third parties, directly or indirectly, in any form and by any means, of or concerning data regarding living persons of which they have become aware via the terminals in the study room of the RKD. The only exception to this prohibition are communications for which a data subject, whose personal data are involved, has granted the visitor valid consent under the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Visitors are themselves responsible for compliance with the legal conditions for any processing of personal data of which they have become aware. The RKD excludes any responsibility for the further processing of data of still living persons available through the terminals in the study room. Visitor accepts full liability, both in the criminal and civil law sense for (the consequences of) unlawful use of the above-mentioned data and indemnifies the RKD against the consequences of any claim that might arise from dissemination or publication of these data.
