New on RKD Research: requesting library material in RKD library
From Wednesday 4 June 2025, all users with an RKD Research subscription can reserve library materials online at research.rkd.nl. This allows you to already indicate which titles you want to study before your visit. On arrival in the study room, they will be ready for you. Click here for delivery times.
The new request system is easy to use. In just a few steps, you will have reserved your desired materials. Do you still have questions? Please contact us via the contact form.
How it works:
- RKD Research subscription
Make sure you have an RKD Research subscription. You can purchase this via our webshop. - Login
Go to research.rkd.nl. Create an account or log in with your existing account. - Search the catalogue
Search the RKD Library database for the material you want to reserve. - Scroll to Copies
At the bottom of the page you will find the section Copies. Select the desired copy. - Reserve
Click the reserve button behind your desired copy. - Choose date
In the new screen, choose the date you want to view the material. Note: reservation is possible for one day at a time. - Confirm
Click Confirm. - Done!
You will now see confirmation that your reservation is complete.
Where can I find my reservations and loan history?
Click the profile icon (next to the language settings) in the top right of the screen. In the dropdown menu you can select your reservations and loan history.
